Our liturgical music draws from two different traditions: Byzantine chant (monophonic, featuring a single melody accompanied by a drone note) historically used in Orthodox worship; and choral music, closer to the Russian style that incorporates four-part harmony. Despite the differences, both the chanters and the choir strive to glorify God in words and melody. Contact: Nathan Powell at (choir@stjohnmemphis.org)
